Import/Export Licences: Import of Fiber Hemp
Propagating material grown in countries other than the Member States of the European Union or the European Economic Area (including hemp seed (CN code 1207 99 20)) may be imported into the Republic of Lithuania if it meets the requirements and conditions set out in EU legislation for propagating material equivalent to that grown in the European Community.
Information on countries where seed grown (CN code 1207 99 20) is recognised as equivalent to EU-grown seed can be found atCOUNCIL DECISION of 16 December 2002 on the equivalence of field inspections carried out in third countries on seed-producing crops and on the equivalence of seed produced in third countries.
A fixed fee shall be paid for the issuance of a fiber hemp import license, approved by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania of 15 December 2000 Resolution No. 1458 On the Approval of the List of Specific Amounts of the State Fee and the Rules for the Payment and Refund of the State Fee (see paragraphs 3.152 and 4.617). The fee shall be paid to the budget revenue collection account of the State Tax Inspectorate under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania.
