Issuance of Licenses
Functions of the License Administration Division of the Licensing and Program Administration Department of the Agricultural Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture (hereinafter referred to as the Agency):
- evaluation of applications for licenses to import/export agricultural products and to provide livestock breeding services;
- issuance of permits for import/export and for the provision of livestock breeding services;
- administration of deposits.
An import/export licence is required for economic operators who import or export agricultural products in quantities exceeding those specified in the Annex to Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/1237.
- An AGRIM import licence is required for the import of more than 1000 kilograms of rice or 100 hectolitres of ethyl alcohol of agricultural origin.
- An AGREX export licence is required when exporting more than 500 kilograms of rice (CN codes beginning with 1006 20 or 1006 30) or 2000 kilograms of sugar.
Import/export applications are submitted using the National Paying Agency Information Portal.
A permit for the provision of farm animal breeding services is required for economic entities that intend to provide the services specified Order No. 282 of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania dated October 3, 2000 On the Approval of Rules for the Issuance, Suspension, Revocation of Suspension, and Revocation of Licenses to Provide Livestock Breeding Services.
