When applying for a license, the deposit must be received on the day of application by 2 p.m. Lithuanian time.

No deposit is required if its amount is 100 euros or less.

Licenses are issued upon submission of a deposit, except in exceptional cases provided for in legal acts.

The deposit can be provided in the following ways:

  • transfer of funds (bank transfer);
  • bank check;
  • letter of guarantee/surety insurance (must be valid for at least 12 months from its submission to the Agency).

The deposit paid by bank transfer must be transferred to the National Paying Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture (hereinafter referred to as the NPA) AB Artea bank No. LT75 7180 3000 0034 5113, bank code 71803. When transferring cash to the NPA account, we recommend indicating the following payment purpose: "Deposit for obligations provided for in European Union (hereinafter referred to as the EU) legal acts related to the export of agricultural and food products from the EU or import into the EU".

IMPORTANT!

The Guarantor/Guarantor provides a guarantee/surety for the following obligations of the Debtor (Applicant) to the Agency: obligations provided for in European Union legislation related to the export of agricultural and food products from the European Union or import into the European Union, or participation in tenders for import tariff quotas or export compensations.

Entities entitled to issue letters of guarantee/surety insurance:

An economic entity that has fulfilled part or all of its obligations while the license or license extract is still valid may submit a request for the return of the deposit. If no request is submitted, the administration of the deposit will begin only after the expiration of the validity period of the electronic license, and in the case of a paper license – after the license is returned to the Agency.
